Over the last twenty years the company has taken on other businesses in both Italy and abroad in specialized fields such as: the construction of cogeneration plants, district heating networks, the construction of civil and industrial buildings and restoration work.

The company originated as a general construction contactor in the 1930’s and in 1973 it was transformed into FIMET S.p.A. to meet the needs of the telecommunications market.

The company’s growth continued with the installation of High and Medium tension electrical lines, and continued its development with the innovative heat distribution project known as Teleriscaldamento. FIMET consolidated its market positioning with the realization of Cogeneration plants, making the company an industry leader in the national and international field.

In addition to the electrical and energy sectors, the company also works in the fields of public works with projects such as aqueducts, sewer systems, roads and the restoration of buildings protected by the Ministry of Cultural and Environmental Heritage.

FIMET S.p.A. is a member of Consenergy – Africa, a consortium that operates in Morocco where it charged with important commissions for the realization of electrical lines.
